Spiral Jetty, finally

after three years of encouraging my students to 'go see one of thee most famous earthworks - here in our very own state,' i finally went and did it myself the day after Thanksgiving. it was beautiful... and terribly cold.

  2. love the photos! I've been wanting to go out there for years and still haven't made it. I might have to brave the cold because i love the starkness of the winter with it. so beautiful.

  3. Hey Kelly- this is Kelly Egan (or at least I used to be- now I'm Kelly Mear). I found you through Kritin's blog and thought I'd say hi. So, hi! :) It's been fun to peek into your life a little. . . hope you don't mind. Hi to English too- and your baby is darling! Oh, and I wish you'd been an art teacher when I was in college- I'd love to be in your class. . . . except for the fact that I don't think I took a single art class in college. But, you know what I mean.

  5. Ahhh, the jetty. Even if it was cold, it looked like a neat time. Kind of like a visit to another planet, maybe Neptune in the summer.
